I have this converter box, but I don’t know how to use it. I don’t have an antenna. What should I do? I just have my tv, and this converter box I got from Bestbuy. I didn’t have cable before. Please help me, thanks.
How to use a converter box:
# 1. First you need to connect the TV antenna into the antenna in on the digital converter box. This is the basic coax cable (screw on type).
#2. Next, you will need to take the TV output from the converter box into the back of your TV. You will have the option of using the RCA cables (red white and yellow) of the coax cable out (screw on type).
#3.Lastly, you will need to set the TV onto either the AV (also might be called input, TV/Video or device) setting that you connected into if you connected with the RCA cables. If you connected with the coax type cable, you will need to have the TV set to channel 3 or 4 depending on the box.
#4. Keep in mind, you will now be changing the channels with the DTV box remote and not the TV’s remote. You will still have to use the TV remote for power and volume.
You will eventually get to a page with a list of stations you may be able to get. Pay attention tot he color coded part which describes what sort of a antenna you will need.
You have to decide what stations it is important for you to get versus what sort of antenna you need. Everyone tends to want to get a set of rabbit ears (which are a multidirectional antenna) but the fact is, the walls of your home can block out about 50% of the signal power, so unless you are REALLY close to all of the stations you are looking to get, this is a really bad idea.
All you need is to hook an antenna up tot eh antenna port on the converter box and then hook the box up to your TV. The details of that last step depend upon the converter box which you got and your TV. I think they all have analog pass through but that doesn’t always provide the greatest picture.

The video AV input is broken on my TV.Can i connect the AV cords from my PS2 into the converter box to play my games?
No you cannot do that. But what you can do is plug in a vcr to your tv with a coaxial cable and use the rca inputs on your vcr to plug your ps2 into it.
You put the ps2 wires on the vcr’s “IN”
And put a coaxial wire from your vcr’s “OUT” to the tv.

You had best check with the manufacturer or supplier. It could be dual voltage, 110/220 (240), but Australia is 50 hZ, US 60 hZ.
The frequency difference may worry the unit.
Note that while Australia is a nominal 240-250 VAC 50 Hz, anything made for that voltage will almost certainly work on European supplies of 220-240 VAC,
Then check that there is not an internal switch or jumper of some sort. Also check the documentation, it’s possible that it can operate safely from 120 VAC, just needing a plug converter. Many smaller appliances do.

I want to put a torque converter on my vintage mini bike. It has a 5 horsepower briggs and stratton engine, with a centrifugal clutch. I just took my car into the Nissan dealership because something was obviously wrong with the engine and they told me that the catalytic converter had completely destroyed my engine’s rings and it’s going to cost me $5k+ to get a new engine.

Yes. If it was plugged up it would overheat the engine and could melt the rings. There’s no way it should cost 5k for an engine. Don’t go to the dealer. Get a second opinion.

My Truck is a 5.9 engine in it got catalytic converter clogged it in nothing had happen all this years! My engine sound smooth in it got power!
RUN, never in my life have I heard such BS! I had a clogged converter at 265,000 miles. The engine lacked power and even felt like the trans was starting to go. You do know your cars computer monitors for this problem, don’t you? You have at least 2 o2 sensors. the second one is behind the catalytic converter and only monitors the difference between the other sensor to determine how clogged your converter is. Your check engine light would have been on long ago, you would have noticed it running like crap AND you still wouldn’t have done any damage. RUN, get as far away from that place as you can. Get 2 more estimates and I bet it’s nowhere near $5,000. Good luck!
